In-House Theatre Agency The Cheryl Rowlands School of Drama also runs an in-house theatre agency. We have an extensive register of children of varying ages. Suitable children are sent for auditions and castings when appropriate casting calls are received. Calls received, amongst others, have been for Being Human, Casualty, Runland, Snow White, Skins, Mistresses, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Roboidz, Intergalactic Patrick, The Virgin One Account National Advertising Campaign, The Bristol Job, Bugsy Malone, The King and I, and The Wizard of Oz. Registered children need to supply a copy of their birth certificate on registering. Photographs will be taken by the Casting Agency. Forms/Performance Licences from the local Child Education Welfare office will be supplied at the appropriate times. The Cheryl Rowlands Casting Agency will actively seek openings in television film and theatre for registered pupils. This will involve the forwarding of individual profiles to reputable Casting Directors with a view to securing auditions for various roles, whether they be for walk-ons, supporting artistes, or speaking roles. If a suitable placement is offered, the Casting Agency will act in the best interests of the pupil to secure the best possible terms. The Casting Agency shall receive a Fee of 20% of all monies earned by the registered pupil. Pupils sent for auditions should be enthusiastic, committed, and follow instruction. Parents of pupils need to ensure that their children arrive punctually to auditions, and that once an audition has been accepted, it is fully understood that this audition will be attended. Casting Directors are busy people and it is unacceptable for them to be kept waiting for an auditionee who later decides not to attend and represents the Drama School's Agency in an unprofessional manner.. Parents should understand and accept that there may be travel and a great deal of waiting involved and should account for this when accepting auditions on behalf of their children. Whilst on set, under no circumstances are photographs or video footage to be shot, and actors are not to be approached for autographs. Whilst on set, children are performing a professional job of work and such behaviour as mentioned above portrays the Cheryl Rowlands School of Drama and the Casting Agency in an unprofessional manner. Any such action will result in the pupil being immediately removed from the Casting Agency's books.
