TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. The Personal data included in this form will be "processed" (as such terms are defined in the Data Protection Act 1998) by the Cheryl Rowlands School of Drama for the purposes of administration, research, the provision of teaching services in singing, dance and drama, the organisations under legislation relating to children. Please be aware that this information will be treated as wholly confidential and shall not be disclosed to third parties. 

FEES

  1. Class times and Fees are always provided via our termly Newsletter, on our Facebook Page and on our Official Website. These are also displayed outside each classroom for parents’ convenience.

  2. Methods of payment:

    1. Cash

    2. Cheque

  3. Fees are reviewed annually in August and parents are notified of any changes.

  4. Term fees paid later than the second week of a new term will be subject to a £5 administration cost.

CLASSES

  1. Classes take place once a week during the normal academic terms. The term dates for the following term are always contained within in our termly Newsletter, Facebook Page and Official Website. Parents are always informed of any changes.

  2. Our Terms and Conditions are included on each Registration Form. A signature from a parent or guardian on the Registration Form is an acceptance of our terms and conditions and establishes a contract for the provision of teaching services.

  3. Cancellation:

    1. Where a pupil is attending any class for the first time, the contract can be terminated no later than 7 days later. Once a pupil is registered, the pupil becomes a full member of the Drama School and thereafter, one term’s Notice is required in writing or ONE TERM’S FEES will be charged in lieu of Notice.

  4. We reserve the right to exclude pupils from classes at our discretion.

  5. We reserve the right to make changes to the timetable and to the teaching staff.

  6. The Cheryl Rowlands School of Drama will from time to time take photographs and film footage of pupils during class time for use in our marketing and publicity material. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed/filmed please let the School Principal know in writing.

  7. Pupils participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform Cheryl Rowands School of Drama and its staff of any existing injuries or medical condition. We do hold Public Liability Insurance, and our Staff have enhanced DBS checks in place.

  8. Pupils’ personal property is their own responsibility. We do not accept any liability for lost or damaged belongings.  Any lost property found after classes have ended are put into the Lost Property box and brought to the following class.

  9. The liability of the Cheryl Rowlands School of Drama and that of its staff is restricted to class time/Official Drama School events only and then only with regard to gross negligence. 

FREE TRIALS

    1. One free trial class per child.

    2. Your child must not have previously attended any other Free Trial Session at the Cheryl Rowlands School of Drama.

    3. You must book the Free Trial Session in advance with Principal Cheryl over the telephone, online via our Website or by email.

    4. At the time of booking, the Free Trial Session must take place during the next two weeks of Term-Time.

    5. You must check and sign the Registration Form prior to the Free Trial Session ensuring that it is accurately and fully completed.

    6. If your child refuses to take part in the Session, one further Free Trial Session may be arranged at our discretion.

RULES OF CONDUCT

  • Respect other peoples’ property and leave it alone.

  • No chewing during classes.

  • Eating and drinking is only permitted during official class breaks.

  • Each child should bring to class a folder in order to keep safe any notices, letters, scripts, or song sheets, etc that may be handed out in class. Replacements may be charged at £1 per sheet.

  • Jewellery should be kept to an absolute minimum – the Drama School will not accept liability for any losses of any property (jewellery or otherwise).

  • No swearing or bullying will be tolerated at any time.

  • The Drama School reserves the right to terminate any pupil’s contract immediately if this rule is not strictly adhered to. Fees will not be refunded.

  • Only Official Drama School uniform is acceptable in class and at all Official Drama School events – please ensure uniform is clean and tidy.

  • Parents should wait in the foyer until they are called in to collect their children (new parents are always invited to stay for the first 15 minutes to ensure their child/ren are settled).

  • Punctuality is paramount – please ensure that your child arrives on time for class, and that you arrive in good time to collect them in order to avoid encroaching on the following class.

  • THE START OF CLASSES WILL NOT BE DELAYED FOR LATE ARRIVALS.
